Information Management Support Officer

12 Month Fixed-Term

We are looking for an Information Management Support Officer to support our busy Information Management team. In this role you will contribute to improving information management across the organisation, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and supporting the archives service.

This is a full-time role (40 hours per week) for a 12 month fixed term and we may be able to offer some flexibility to the right candidate.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Assisting with the continued management of on-site and off-site archival collections
  • Undertaking data entry and information cleansing
  • Maintaining accurate records of the retention and disposal decisions for both physical and digital information
  • Working alongside the Archivist and Information Management Advisors to appraise Council and Community records
  • Assisting with internal and external research enquiries
  • Providing an archive retrieval service for Council

What you will bring:

  • NCEA Level 2 or equivalent level of knowledge
  • Analytical, attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
  • Physically capable of using climbing frames and lifting boxes of a medium to heavy weight
  • Experience working with an electronic document management system and/or information databases
  • Full New Zealand drivers licence
