Our friendly Parks Team are seeking a Park Ranger.
The hours for this position are based on a 4 week rotating roster with 80 hours per fortnight, including 1 weekend every 4 weeks.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
- Maintain tracks and inspect facilities, reporting any issues to the Team Leader
- Be responsible for a specific area (e.g., Pest Flora, Maintenance, Environmental areas etc)
- Develop and implement pest control plans
- Provide timely, accurate, and concise reports as requested by the Team Leader
- Plan and conduct educational tours and talks
- Protect and preserve environmental reserves
What you will bring:
- A current Growsafe certificate or able to obtain one
- Current Full NZ Drivers Licence
- Physical ability to undertake manual labour, including lifting
- Practical experience in dealing with the public
- Competent in using full Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
