Our friendly Parks Team are seeking a Park Ranger.

The hours for this position are based on a 4 week rotating roster with 80 hours per fortnight, including 1 weekend every 4 weeks.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

• Maintain tracks and inspect facilities, reporting any issues to the Team Leader
• Be responsible for a specific area (e.g., Pest Flora, Maintenance, Environmental areas etc)
• Develop and implement pest control plans
• Provide timely, accurate, and concise reports as requested by the Team Leader
• Plan and conduct educational tours and talks
• Protect and preserve environmental reserves

What you will bring:

• A current Growsafe certificate or able to obtain one
• Current Full NZ Drivers Licence
• Physical ability to undertake manual labour, including lifting
• Practical experience in dealing with the public
• Competent in using full Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
