Senior Lifeguard

Splash Palace are seeking a dedicated Senior Lifeguard to support the daily operations of our aquatic facility and assist in overseeing lifeguard staff. This is a hands-on position focused on ensuring our pool users have a safe, clean, and positive experience.

This is a permanent full-time position to be worked according to a four-week rotating roster. Shifts will generally be worked between 5.20am and 9.30pm, Monday to Friday and 7.30am and 6.30pm in weekends.

What you will do:

  • Provide vigilant poolside supervision to ensure safety and enjoyment
  • Support the Supervisor with daily operations and staff rotations
  • Assist with directing and mentoring Lifeguards during assigned shifts
  • Enforce pool rules and uphold health and safety procedures
  • Ensure high cleanliness and presentation standards across the facility
  • Monitor pool activities to prevent accidents and respond swiftly and professionally incidents or complaints
  • Assist with daily programmes, pool setups, and water testing

What you will bring:

While it is essential to hold a National Lifeguard Award (Level 3), Pool Lifeguard Practising Certificate, and Current First Aid Certificate for this position, we are committed to supporting the right candidate in achieving them through training and development if they are not already held.

We're looking for someone who's a confident, capable swimmer and keeps up with lifeguard fitness standards. Great communication and customer service skills are a must, along with the ability to lead by example, support your team, and work well with others. Flexibility is also essential, including a willingness to work evenings and weekends as required.
