Permanent Part-Time

We have a number of permanent part-time Lifeguard positions available in our friendly Aquatic Services team. Hours available are:
- Tues - 3.30pm - 6.30pm
- Weds - 5.30am - 8.30am
- Sat - 7.30am - 10.30am and 11.00am - 2.00pm
- Sun - 8.00am - 12.00pm
Splash Palace is open every day from as early as 5.30am to as late as 9.00pm, so flexibility is key. Our ideal candidate would be able to pick up extra shifts during these opening hours.
The starting rate for this position is $26.20 with the ability to increase, based on skills and experience.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
- Provide constant supervision of pools, including rotating as directed by the Supervisor, to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all customers and staff.
- Participate in the delivery of safe and effective aquatic operations, including the daily programme, as directed by the Supervisor.
- Clean or tidy areas where required to ensure pools, pool surrounds, seating, dressing rooms, toilets, showers, staff room and store rooms are clean and tidy to a satisfactory level.
- Respond to all accidents and incidents safely and effectively, and report these promptly.
- Undertake tasks delegated by the Supervisor in a timely and efficient manner, to a high standard.
What you will bring:
- National Lifeguard Award, or be willing to obtain
- First Aid Certificate, or be willing to obtain
- Competent and confident swimmer and able to maintain the National Lifeguard Award on an ongoing basis.
- Demonstrate a "can do" attitude, and have the ability to multitask
- Be able to pass an initial water-based skills test
