This is a busy and varied role, where you will be responsible for supporting up to two of our Group Managers and their wider teams. You will be part of a small and supportive team, and we can promise no two days will be the same. You need to be able to do ten things at once, anticipate everyone's needs - all with a smile on your face ensuring that the office runs seamlessly.
If your strengths are superb organisation and administration skills including a high level of skill in Microsoft Word, an eye for detail, fantastic relationship building skills, politically astute and the ability to upwards manage then this is a role made for you.
It goes without saying that you will be an expert at organising and running events, technology savvy, able to research, write letters, draft reports, and take minutes (Council meetings, and meetings with both internal and external people), and be able to think on your feet.

The hours of work for this position can be negotiated but are generally Monday - Friday.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
- Manage assigned Group Manager's emails and diary to ensure a schedule is maintained
- Prepare, produce and distribute agendas and minutes accurately, within agreed timeframes and in required formats
- Ensure necessary resources are available and meeting rooms booked and are set-up to meet the requirements of meetings including online meeting platforms as required.
- Manage the interface between the Group Manager and customers both internal and external in a professional and timely manner
- Ensure a very high level of confidentiality and discretion is maintained at all times.
What you will bring:
- NCEA Level 3 with competencies in English, Maths, Office Systems and Computer Skills; and/or equivalent level of knowledge
- At least three years of practical applied experience demonstrating support to a senior management level
- Practical experience of minute taking
- Well-developed computer knowledge, particularly in the use of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and confidently
- Full current NZ driver's licence
