Senior Aquatic Customer Services Officer

Permanent Part-Time

Our Aquatic Customer Service staff are often the first point of contact and the last too. Reporting to the Team Leader - Aquatic Customer Services, you will play a vital part in taking the lead to provide exceptional frontline customer service to users of Splash Palace, including members of the public, schools, clubs and other members of our community of customers. Key responsibilities in this position will be answering general telephone and in person queries, processing cash transactions, retail / cafe enquiries and sales, and supporting the development of the Aquatic Customer Services team by sharing your experience and knowledge

We currently have a permanent part-time role available, working 35 hours per week over the following rotating roster:

  • Week 1: Monday - Friday 7am - 2:30pm (7 hours per day)
  • Week 2: Monday - Friday 2pm - 9:30pm (7 hours per day)
  • Week 3: Monday - Friday 10:30am - 6:00pm (7 hours per day)

Extra shifts are often available, and our ideal candidates could be available to pick these up. You will be willing to work evenings, weekends, and occasional public holidays.

To be successful in this position, you will have:

  • NCEA Level 2 equivalent
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Barista Training (desirable, relevant training will be provided)
  • Minimum 2-3 years demonstrated experience in a frontline customer service role
  • Demonstrated experience in high level cash handling
  • High level of customer relations and communication skills
  • Experience in dealing with the public and handling difficult situations
  • Well-developed computer knowledge, and confident using software and databases
  • Leadership Experience
  • Ability to teach others
