Park Ranger

Permanent Full-Time

Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Hands on monitoring, patrolling and maintenance of all Parks and Reserves including all tracks and facilities, ensuring they are safe, clean and enjoyable for the public
  • Champion a specific area such as pest flora, pest fauna and environmental areas
  • Develop and implement pest control plans for both flora and fauna
  • Plan and conduct educational tours and talks
  • Ensure environmental reserves are protected and preserved

What you will bring:

  • A current Growsafe certificate or able to obtain one
  • Experience in working in parks, reserves, and asset maintenance
  • Strong physical fitness and ability to work in all weather conditions
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with experience in dealing with the public
  • Competent in using full Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Level 3 Certificate in Conservation, or equivalent education or experience
  • Current Full NZ Drivers Licence
  • Knowledge of pest flora and fauna desirable
