As Contracts Administrator, you'll support the administration of Council's contract portfolio, helping ensure contract records, milestones and compliance requirements are accurately maintained and monitored. Working with contract managers, suppliers and stakeholders across the organisation, you'll support the smooth running of contract processes while contributing to strong governance and the delivery of services that benefit our community.
What you will do:
- Maintain Council's contract registers and records.
- Support the administration of contract documentation, including variations, extensions and renewals.
- Track contract milestones, expiry dates and compliance requirements.
- Process contract claims, invoices, purchase orders and related administration within TechOne.
- Support supplier onboarding and contract implementation activities.
- Maintain accurate document control and record management practices.
- Assist with audits and compliance reviews.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across contract management processes.
What you will bring:
- NZQA Level 4 certificate in business administration, contract administration or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience in contract administration, business administration, records management or a similar position.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Strong organisational and coordination skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
- Well-developed Microsoft Office skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to build effective working relationships across a diverse organisation.
- A proactive approach and willingness to continually improve processes.

This is a permanent, full-time position working Monday to Friday, with standard hours of 8.00am to 5.00pm.
